Name mix-ups
On 6 November 2026 the bare search still led with a 2008 film, a bar and grill cluster, a dictionary entry and a BBC Reel before the quiz. “Longshots app” results were mostly screenshot and camera utilities. Call of Duty camouflage guides, betting slips, motorcycle exhausts and a K-pop name are separate. If the page you wanted is about yards and a daily football question, you are in the right guide.
What is Longshots?
A free daily football quiz at longshots.app. Seven questions, 25 seconds each. Rarer correct answers score from further out.
Is Longshots free?
Yes. The terms call it free and for fun. There is no paywall on the public page.
Do I need an account?
Not for today’s seven questions. You need one for the archive, the Golden Boot and leagues.
Is there an Android or iOS app?
No store app. It is a browser game you can add to your home screen.
When do new questions appear?
At midnight UK time. In November that matches UTC. I do not promise the same minute in British Summer Time.
How does scoring work?
A correct answer is a shot of 6, 18, 40, 55 or 100 yards. The total is the sum. The full table is on the scoring page.
What are the tiers?
Sunday League from 0, Non-League from 100, Championship from 180, Top Flight from 260, Ballon d’Or from 380.
What is a keeper’s goal, and what is the maximum?
A keeper’s goal is the 100-yard band. Seven of those is 700. The homepage does not print 700; the cap is seven times 100.
Can I replay past days?
Yes, in Clubhouse → Archive, after you sign in. Replays sit on your record and not on the Golden Boot.
What is the Golden Boot?
The daily leaderboard. Only rounds played that day count. A new table starts at midnight. It is not the seasonal football award.
What are leagues?
A private Golden Boot for mates, work or a club’s fans. Sign in to start or join with an invite.
What is the streak saver?
The game says one missed day a week is covered. I treat that as a single weekly miss, not a stack of tokens.
What is Kickabout?
A with-mates mode labelled coming soon on 6 November 2026. It was not playable then.
Why was my correct answer rejected?
The author said answer lists were still being completed and asked players to report misses from the team sheet. One forum thread also saw a first name required. That is a player report.
What do Signal lost and Blocked mean?
Signal lost is a network error on submit. Blocked is one of the miss reactions, along with Saved, Wide, Over, Row Z, post and bar. It is not a network block.
Is this the 2008 film, the bar, or the MW4 camo?
No. This guide is about the daily football quiz. The film, the restaurant and the weapon challenge are different things that share the word.
Who made it?
Joe Gilmore. He posts as @Gilology and said he was the only person working on it. Game contact is [email protected]. The game says it is not tied to any club, league, player or governing body.
How do I delete a game account?
Email [email protected] from the account address, or message @longshotsapp on Instagram. This guide cannot delete a game account.
Are there codes or a solver?
No code list exists in the public game, and the terms forbid pulling answers out with scripts. This site does not publish a solver.
