Games like Longshots
If seven quick questions is the wrong shape of day, these are the closest public alternatives. I only write what each official page says. The table distinguishes documented features from cells for which no public documentation was found.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Longshots | Yes | Yes | 7 questions, 25 seconds | Higher yards |
| Goalless | Yes | Yes | 1 question, 5 guesses | Lower score |
| Who Are Ya? | Yes | Yes | Picture, 8 guesses | — |
| Football Wordle | Yes | Yes | Find the surname | — |
| Pointless | TV show | Sometimes | Survey of 100 people | Lower |
| Wordle | Yes | No | 5 letters, 6 tries | Solve it |
Goalless
Goalless, on playfootball.games, is a free daily football quiz built like Pointless. One question, five guesses, answers scored against real survey respondents. Common answers score higher. Rare answers score lower. A valid answer nobody gave is 0. An incorrect answer is 100. The Zero Shield removes your highest answer score if you find at least one zero. You want the lowest total. Tiers are Invincible (always 0), Champions, European Qualification, Mid-table and Relegation. The middle boundaries change with the day’s survey. The page also says “Goalless – Take Your Longshots”. The head-to-head is on Longshots vs Goalless.
Who Are Ya? and Football Wordle
Who Are Ya? asks you to guess the footballer from a picture, with 8 guesses, daily, and league-specific versions for England, Spain, Italy, France, Brazil and Turkey. Football Wordle asks you to find the footballer’s surname, daily. I do not add timers, account rules or scoring ladders for either. Their hub pages do not state them.
Format cousins
Pointless is a BBC show: questions go to 100 members of the public, a correct answer scores how many of them said it, a pointless answer scores 0, a wrong answer scores 100, and the lower total wins. Balls.ie called Longshots a football version of that show. That is a comparison, not a claim that one studio built the other. Wordle is one shared daily word, six tries, green yellow and grey. It explains the daily-share habit. It is not a football quiz.
Which one fits
- Seven quick shots and a yardage total: stay with Longshots.
- One deep survey question: Goalless.
- A face, slowly revealed: Who Are Ya?
- A surname, letter by letter: Football Wordle.
The same hub also lists Missing XI, Career Path Challenge, Football Connections, Contextinho and Tiki-Taka-Toe. I have only the hub’s one-line descriptions, so I do not review them here.
