Longshots vs Goalless
Pick Longshots if you want seven questions and a clock. Pick Goalless if you want one question and five guesses against a survey. Both are free and both run in the browser. Neither page asks you to install a store app.

Scoring, side by side
On Longshots a correct answer is a shot. Rarity among today’s players sets the distance. Seven keeper’s goals would be 700. On Goalless you are trying to find answers few survey respondents gave. A zero is the prize, and the Zero Shield deletes your worst (highest) score if you have found at least one zero. Finishing inside that day’s mid-table line is the win the article describes. Above it is relegation, which the article treats as a loss.
What I will not fill in
The Goalless article does not say whether you need an account, whether there is a private league, or which languages the quiz supports. Longshots does document those for itself: optional account, Golden Boot, leagues, and a coming-soon Kickabout. I do not mirror that list onto Goalless. Goalless multiplayer is not documented either.
Three ways to choose
- You have five spare minutes and like a clock: Longshots, then read the scoring page before you chase 100-yard answers.
- You want one argument with a friend about a survey: Goalless.
- You can play both. They reset on their own schedules and they do not share a score.
Play Longshots at longshots.app. Play Goalless at playfootball.games/goalless. The Goalless page uses the word longshots in its own subtitle. That is their positioning, not a shared product.
